A day before the start of the nine-day novena leading to Fiesta Señor, Ayala Center Cebu opened their annual Sto. Niño Exhibit at The Gallery of the new wing.
This year’s installment is made possible in partnership with the University of Southern Philippines – Foundation. The exhibit is a truly glorious way of celebrating the Sinulog for this Year of Ecumenism, Inter-religious dialogue and indigenous people.
If my count wasn’t mistaken, there are 45 images of the Holy Child (including the giant Sto. Niño at the exhibit entrance). Devotees from all walks of life gladly and willingly lent their Images for public viewing. I pray that during this season, we may all be like the Child Jesus – meek and unassuming. The exhibit is open to the public during mall hours. Sto. Niño Novena Masses will also be held at the Chapel at the 4th level nightly from January 9-16, at 6pm. Pit Señor!
Balik Cebu
Earlier that day, Ayala Center Cebu also opened the Balik Cebu booth which marks the start of the influx of balikbayans and tourists, local and foreign alike, who will be visiting Cebu to witness the spectacle that is Sinulog and pay homage to the reason for the season, Señor Sto. Niño.
The booth is open for inquiries on local programs, tours, and services, as well as events that balikbayans may participate on this Sinulog. One of them is the Balik Cebu Welcome Dinner which is scheduled on January 16 at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu.
The Balik Cebu 2020 booth is located at Level 1 near the Concierge Counter and Pull and Bear.
