Hello, my name is Sinjin Pineda, 31 years old. I’ve been blogging since 2008. It started as a personal blog. Now defunct, SINJIN.PH got the top honors at the first Best Cebu Blogs Awards (BCBA) in the same year. I branched out to travel blogging in 2010, and has since been known as Libotero. I have been traveling solo around the whole Philippines through the years and I’ve always advocated for domestic travel. In 2019, everything came full circle, as my blog SINJIN.LIFE was recognized as Cebu’s Best Personal Blog for 2019 at the 12th BCBA. I cannot be thankful enough.
Because of the pandemic and some health issues, my travel plans have temporarily been put to a halt. Also, I felt that it was tedious to maintain two blogs, so a few months ago, I decided to rebrand and streamline all of my travel, food, and lifestyle content under one new umbrella and that is LET’S G, SINJIN.
They say that Blogging is Dead. I strongly disagree. Blogging is very much alive now more than ever and my new blog’s traffic stats would nod in agreement. And although this blog is fairly new, I was pleasantly surprised that a few people have nominated my blog in this year’s Best Cebu Blogs Awards, still under the Personal Blog category. I initially thought of declining the nomination because it was quite premature. But on second thought, and especially after my dad’s passing, I humbly accept the nomination because I am very grateful for all of your support. My dad was my number one supporter, and I’m sure that he continues to look over me up there.
I cannot be more grateful. In this fast-paced world, and as we return to normalcy, we may be lured by the glitter of instant success, fame and recognition. But I believe that as we go further, it is essential that we continue to touch lives and use our “influence” to contribute something positive to our community. More content to come! XOXO
