Years in the Making
Alejandro Tengco, co-owner, Hai Shin Lou Cebu
During the media preview held recently, co-owner Alejandro Tengco explained why it took them so long to open up a second branch. According to him, their group did not want to compromise the quality of the food and service at the restaurant, something they are very particular with.
Tengco further shared that one of the most loyal guests of Hai Shin Lou were the Ty family (The Ty family owns Marco Polo Plaza Cebu). The Tys told them they wanted to work with them to open a Chinese restaurant. This would come to fruition several years later, when the right opportunity came, and Hai Shin Lou Cebu is finally open!
The Seafood King in Cebu
One of the highlights being offered at Hai Shin Lou Cebu is that they cook fresh seafood picked right off their aquarium tank. You can simply choose the fish or sea food that you want, to be cooked according to your preference.
Here’s also something you might want to know, Hai Shin Lou Cebu does NOT use any MSG (monosodium glutamate) on their food. Tengco said that they are currently exploring options on local ingredients.
New Venue for Celebrations
Hai Shin Lou Cebu has 9 private rooms
