We just can’t have enough milk tea in the island as Nham Cha – Thai Milk Tea opened recently at Mactan Park Place (formerly Tonyo’s, near Bigfoot).
Nham Cha has over 60 branches in Luzon and this marks their first foray in the Visayas. What’s interesting about them is that they only have 12 items on their menu, all of them they consider as bestsellers. There’s definitely a drink for everyone. Someone lactose-intolerant, for example, can have the Cha Manaw (refreshing Thai tea).
As for myself, I had to try their Cha Yen (Authentic Thai Milk Tea) so I could compare it with the ones I had in the streets of Bangkok. I’m so glad that it met my expectations! I also tried the Bangkok Pearl Milk Tea (this one I could compare with the Brown Sugar milk tea of other shops), and Nham Cha Overload (which reminded me of Hokkaido Cream Milk Tea from another brand). On my next visit, I will try Nom Yen or the Thai Pink Milk, popularized by BL series.
The store is perfectly set for the new normal. Using a trailer, there is almost no contact between the customers and the staff. The customers order through a glass window, with a microphone so it is amplified inside. Visit them today and experience what Authentic Thai milk tea tastes like!!
