Some standouts were the Chorizo & Potato Empanada, the crispy Taquitos, and my absolute favorite—the Seafood Ceviche, packed with scallops and shrimp marinated in citrus and chili. 🍤 Then came the tender Costillas, juicy Maya Hot Wings, and sizzling Fajitas with all the fixings. Take me back to UNWND Camiguin where I immersed in Take me back to UNWND Camiguin where I immersed into the art of being chill. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The hotel is a welcome addition to the island’s hospitality industry, with its unique concept. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The well-appointed rooms provide maximum comfort after an activity-filled day. The beds, immaculate! There are more than enough power outlets in strategic locations.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The food at their in-house restaurant, “Mamser!” is excellent. Proof of that is the number of guests who visit just to dine, at any given time. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The vibe at the property is very youthful with its sundeck, pool, jacuzzi. What I love about UNWND is how it involves the local community. On weekends, they hold events such as Sundown Sessions, and Open Mic Nights, featuring local talent. This weekend, they will have their first-ever Pride Night.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But one of the highlights of our stay at UNWND is their service. Their crew is very cheerful and polite. After two months in the cold, I finally got to catch up with summer in the tropics, in CAMIGUIN!⁣ ⁣ It has been 9 years since my previous visit and the island has managed to maintain its laidback charm. A quick 3D2N break from the city, just enough to refuel me for the days ahead. Here’s a short clip featuring the places we visited over the weekend. ⁣ ⁣ 📍 We stayed at UNWND Boutique Hotel which opened just this February! Its location across White Island, is the perfect jump off point for the sandbar, and the inland tour. Camiguin is small, and two full days would be enough to cover most of the destinations and activities. Of course, tired from a full itinerary, we got home to a really glorious accommodation.
