Had dinner at Fili Café in NUSTAR last Friday, and the variety was honestly overwhelming, in the best way. Filipino, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Halal-friendly options, seafood, paluto à la minute, desserts, and a whole lechon. With so much on offer, I went for the dishes I don’t normally get to eat. At ₱2,800/person, the daily dinner buffet runs from 6–10 PM, with Saturday lunch from 12 NN–3 PM. I recently joined the media tour of Shang Bauhinia Residences, Shang Properties’ first residential development in Cebu. We got to tour the 1-bedroom, studio, and 3-bedroom Signature residences, plus see the scale model of the entire 52-storey development and its amenity deck. One Bangkok travel mistake I planned to avoid: STO One Bangkok travel mistake I planned to avoid: STOP zigzagging across the city! Bangkok is huge, so instead of planning your itinerary attraction by attraction, try clustering your destinations 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮. You’ll spend less time stuck in traffic and more time exploring. For the first few days of our trip, we stayed around 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴 for Pratunam, Siam, CentralWorld, and shopping. Then we transferred to 𝗛𝗢𝗣 𝗜𝗡𝗡 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗸 𝗞𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for three nights because we wanted to focus on Bangkok’s riverside and historic areas. The best part is that the hotel is literally just a staircase or elevator away from 𝗕𝗧𝗦 𝗞𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. We stayed in the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺, which was simple, clean, and practical. I also loved the little conveniences: a self-service laundry by the lobby, common microwave, free-flowing coffee (in the morning), and frozen meals and snacks for sale. Need something else? The nearest 7-Eleven is just about a 5-minute walk away. 𝗛𝗢𝗣 𝗜𝗡𝗡 has 70+ hotels across 48+ provinces in Thailand, including locations near BTS and MRT stations in Bangkok, plus hotels in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Krabi, and Phuket. They’re also in the Philippines and Japan, with South Korea as their newest destination. For this part of our Bangkok trip, staying in Krung Thonburi made exploring so much easier.
