Asurion officially launched its newest customer solutions center in Cebu City on May 7, 2026, marking a major expansion of the global tech care company’s operations in the Philippines and reinforcing Cebu’s position as one of the country’s leading hubs for technology-enabled services.
The grand inauguration was held at the Faustina Center in the Bonifacio District and was attended by company executives, government officials, members of the media, and business stakeholders. The event featured a ceremonial blessing, ribbon-cutting, executive presentations, and a walkthrough of the new facility.

Leading the launch were Asurion Chief Executive Officer Guru Gowrappan and Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions Maria Pinchevsky, who both emphasized the company’s continued confidence in Filipino talent and the strategic importance of Cebu in Asurion’s global growth plans.
Cebu City Vice Mayor Tomas Osmeña also attended the ceremony and expressed support for companies investing in Cebu and creating opportunities for local talent.
The new Cebu site is expected to generate approximately 2,000 jobs over the next two years across various departments including customer care, technical support, information technology, operations, human resources, workplace solutions, training, and digital marketing.

Occupying six floors of the Faustina Center along F. Cabahug Street, the facility will support Asurion’s growing global customer base, which now serves more than 230 million users worldwide through technology support, device repair, replacement services, and connected device solutions.
The Cebu expansion becomes Asurion’s sixth site in the Philippines, joining its existing operations in Bonifacio Global City, Clark, Calamba, Santa Rosa, and Iloilo. The company currently employs more than 7,000 people nationwide.
During the launch, company executives highlighted Cebu’s highly skilled workforce, strong service ecosystem, and growing infrastructure as key factors behind the expansion. Industry observers also continue to recognize Cebu as an emerging destination for global outsourcing and digital service operations outside Metro Manila.
Aside from employment opportunities, Asurion shared that employees can expect competitive benefits including HMO coverage from day one, transportation allowances, retirement programs, paid leaves, complimentary daily meals, and initiatives supporting work-life balance.
The launch reflects continued investor confidence in Cebu’s business environment and further strengthens the region’s role in the Philippines’ growing technology and outsourcing industry.
