LG Electronics is expanding its LG Sound Suite home audio system with new features designed to deliver greater flexibility, broader content compatibility and more immersive home theater experiences. Announced on October 14, 2026, the latest enhancements include DTS support for the H7 soundbar, support for dual W7 subwoofers, expanded wireless connectivity and Google Cast integration.
Originally introduced at CES 2026, LG Sound Suite combines wireless setup with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology, allowing users to build a personalized home theater audio system that suits their living space.
The latest updates aim to make immersive audio more adaptable to different home environments while giving users additional ways to enjoy music, movies, gaming and other entertainment content.
LG Sound Suite Adds DTS Support to the H7 Soundbar
One of the major additions to LG Sound Suite is DTS support for the H7 soundbar. This enhancement expands the system’s immersive audio capabilities, allowing home theater enthusiasts to enjoy compatible DTS content from supported sources.
DTS is designed to deliver multidimensional sound, helping create a more immersive listening experience for compatible movies and other entertainment. By adding support for this audio format, LG is expanding the range of content that users can enjoy through its home theater ecosystem.
LG also announced that it is developing the LG Media Connect Hub, which is designed to help users play DTS content from compatible external source devices. Additional information about the hub, including availability and timing, will be announced through LG’s official channels.
Greater Flexibility With Dolby Atmos FlexConnect
LG Sound Suite continues to build on its Dolby Atmos FlexConnect foundation, which emphasizes flexible speaker placement and a simpler setup process.
Unlike traditional home theater systems that often require fixed speaker layouts and more complex installation, LG Sound Suite allows users to configure an audio system around their available space and listening preferences.
The system combines Dolby Atmos and Dolby Atmos FlexConnect with features such as Sound Follow and Room Calibration Pro to support a more personalized home audio experience.
LG has also expanded network compatibility to include Wi-Fi 6 GHz networks and stereo configurations on 5 GHz DFS channels. These improvements give users more options for configuring their systems in different home networking environments.
LG Sound Suite Now Supports Two W7 Subwoofers
Another notable improvement is support for connecting two W7 subwoofers in compatible LG Sound Suite configurations.
A dual-subwoofer setup can provide more flexibility for larger listening spaces and allow users to experiment with different subwoofer placements. Distributing bass output across two locations can also help improve low-frequency consistency throughout a room, including across multiple seating positions.
This modular approach gives users the option to start with a configuration that meets their current needs and expand their system over time.
For home theater enthusiasts who want more control over their listening environment, dual-subwoofer support offers another way to customize the overall audio experience.
Google Cast Expands Streaming Options
LG has also added Google Cast support to the H7 soundbar, expanding the ways users can access entertainment through LG Sound Suite.
With Google Cast, users have additional options for streaming compatible content, including music and podcasts, directly to their audio system.
This addition strengthens the system’s compatibility with the broader entertainment ecosystem and gives users more flexibility when switching between different types of content.
Combined with the expanded audio format support and wireless connectivity options, Google Cast helps make LG Sound Suite a more versatile solution for everyday listening and home theater use.
Software Updates Bring New Features to LG Sound Suite
LG’s latest enhancements focus on improving compatibility and customization without changing the system’s core emphasis on wireless convenience.
The updates cover several key areas:
- Expanded audio format support: DTS compatibility for the H7 soundbar.
- More bass configuration options: Support for two W7 subwoofers in compatible setups.
- Broader wireless connectivity: Support for Wi-Fi 6 GHz networks and stereo configurations on 5 GHz DFS channels.
- Additional streaming options: Google Cast support on the H7 soundbar.
- Flexible system expansion: A modular architecture that allows users to configure their audio setup around their home and entertainment preferences.
LG stated that features are delivered through software updates. Availability, timing and supported capabilities may vary depending on the model, country or region, router compatibility and software version.
