A Record-Breaking Celebration at lyf Cebu City
The festivities began on August 29 at lyf Cebu City with the unveiling of the “Largest Display of Origami Sharks.” A total of 12,479 origami sharks were meticulously crafted and displayed throughout the property, representing the Thresher Sharks endemic to Cebu’s waters. The event highlighted lyf’s commitment to sustainability, with its conservation partner, Save Philippine Seas, educating guests on marine conservation efforts.
“Today marks a pivotal achievement for us, and we are very grateful for our fantastic community for coming together and finding a new place to belong here in lyf Cebu City,” said Rey Vergel Mulat, lyf Champion and residence manager of lyf Cebu City.
Guests were encouraged to appreciate the temporary display, which will be upcycled into a grander art piece, to be revealed at an upcoming event.
A Stellar Night at lyf Malate Manila
The celebration continued on August 30 at lyf Malate Manila, where the property achieved the “Largest Display of Origami Stars.” A remarkable 100,000 origami stars adorned the venue, honoring Filipinos worldwide. The artistic display incorporated traditional elements such as wooden Balangay and galleons, paying homage to the Philippines’ rich maritime history.
The event featured a bustling community market, live music performances by Philippine Billboard Top 100 artists Maki and Over October, and a high-energy after-party with DJ Rammy Bitong. It was an unforgettable night filled with excitement and pride.
“Words cannot do justice to what was achieved by lyf and its community in these two days,” said Joyce Agsaway, lyf Champion and Director of Operational Excellence for lyf Malate Manila.
