Cebu Pacific Honors Cebuano Roots With Bisaya Version of 30th Anniversary Song

Cebu Pacific is celebrating its Cebuano heritage with the release of a Bisaya version of “Where Dreams Fly,” the airline’s official original soundtrack (OST) for its 30th anniversary. Performed by Filipino OPM band Oh! Caraga, the new version pays tribute to Cebu, where the airline’s story began, and highlights the dreams, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of the Cebuanos.

Announced on October 14, 2026, the release gives the airline’s anniversary song a new identity through the Bisaya language, helping more Filipinos connect with its message of hope, ambition, and opportunity.

Oh! Caraga Performs Bisaya Version of “Where Dreams Fly”

The Bisaya version of “Where Dreams Fly” brings a fresh sound to Cebu Pacific’s 30th anniversary celebration. According to Michelle De Guzman, Cebu Pacific Marketing Director, the band’s anthemic performance adds new energy to the song while allowing its message to reach audiences across different languages.

The airline hopes the localized version will resonate with travelers in the Philippines and abroad, particularly those who feel a strong connection to Cebuano culture and language.

By presenting the anniversary soundtrack in Bisaya, Cebu Pacific also recognizes the cultural roots that helped shape its journey over the past three decades.

Music Video Celebrates Cebuano Culture and Creativity

The music video pays tribute to Cebu and the people whose creativity, dreams, and entrepreneurial spirit continue to inspire generations of Filipinos.

It features familiar symbols from Cebu Pacific’s special 30th anniversary Airbus A321neo aircraft, known as the Dreamer Plane. These include puso, or hanging rice, mangoes, guitars, and stars, alongside the Dreamer Girl.

Cebu-based artist Happy Garaje also makes a cameo in the video. Garaje designed the special anniversary aircraft livery, bringing a visual representation of Cebuano creativity to the airline’s milestone celebration.

Together, these elements highlight Cebu’s cultural identity and its contribution to the airline’s story.

Tribute to Cebu Pacific Founder John Gokongwei Jr.

The music video also features a boy riding a bicycle, a reference to Cebu Pacific founder John Gokongwei Jr. and the beginnings of his entrepreneurial journey.

According to the airline, Gokongwei dreamed of a better future while riding his bicycle through local neighborhoods in Cebu and selling goods. The scene connects his early ambitions with the aspirations of generations of Filipinos who continue to pursue opportunities for themselves and their families.

In March 1996, Gokongwei brought that spirit into aviation when Cebu Pacific launched its maiden Manila-Cebu flight. The airline aimed to make air travel more accessible to Filipinos, connecting people with destinations and opportunities across the country.

Since its launch, Cebu Pacific has flown more than 250 million passengers. The airline noted that Gokongwei would have turned 100 years old in 2026, making the anniversary soundtrack an additional tribute to his legacy.

Cebu Remains an Important Hub for Cebu Pacific

Cebu continues to play an important role in Cebu Pacific’s domestic and international network.

Through its Cebu hub, the airline serves 24 domestic routes and nine international routes, helping travelers connect to destinations across the Philippines and beyond.

As a center for trade, tourism, craftsmanship, and artistry, Cebu demonstrates how improved connectivity can support communities and create opportunities. Cebu Pacific’s anniversary celebration recognizes the province not only as the airline’s starting point but also as a continuing source of inspiration.

The Bisaya version of “Where Dreams Fly” reflects this connection between the airline, its home province, and the people whose aspirations have shaped its journey.
